THE BEST IS YET TO COME IN 2010!!!
Happy New Year! It's 2010 AND GOD IS GOING TO DO IT AGAIN IN 2010! But let's face it, 2009 for the faithful, for the believer, for many in the Body of Christ was a tough year. We found ourselves losing jobs and losing houses. We found ourselves faced with lots of stress, strain and struggle like never before. We saw very little harvest from the seeds sown and very little results from serving the Lord. We faced disappointments and delays and thus we grew discouraged.
But the good news in 2010, is that God says is that the Best Is Yet to Come! God encourages those of us who are discouraged from 2009 and He says to us that the Best Is Yet to Come!
Read Haggai 2:1-9 and you will see what God says to those of us who are discouraged.
I. God understands and cares about the discouragement we face in serving Him v.1-3
II. God's Word to us when we are discouraged from serving Him is to PERSEVERE v.4a
A. Perseverance requires the Right Attitude - BE STRONG
B. Perseverance requires the Right Action - WORK
III. God assures us when we are discouraged in serving Him by His Presence, His Promise and His Prophecy v.4b-9
I am looking forward to 2010, because the Best Is Yet to Come!

Starting Sunday, August 1st, we begin our month long Back to School Drive at Open Door. Remember to bring in your backpacks filled with school supplies throughout the month of August.

Our Pastor is celebrating 25 years of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ! He will be attending the Proclaimers Place in London, England with Dr. Joel Gregory!
